FOOTBALL: KNAPHILL reached their first cup final in nearly 40 years on Tuesday night.
The Knappers upset the form-guide to defeat a well-drilled Walton & Hersham side 2-1 in the semi-finals of this season’s Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge (League) Cup thanks to a brace from Jimmy Norman.
Having drawn 1-1 against The Swans in the league back in January, Knaphill boss Keith Hills was optimistic of his side’s chances at Walton’s Elmbridge Sports Hub ground.
And Hills had good reason to feel upbeat, after Norman helped send the west Woking side into their first final since 1980.
