WOKING & Sam Beare Hospices outlined their vision for the future during a VIP trip to No. 11 Downing Street.
Supporters from the patient-led charity enjoyed an evening in the city as a “thank you’’ for their hard work.
During the visit, guests learned about plans for the hospice, and its leader, chief executive Jayne Cooper, confided they were “just the tip of the iceberg’’.
She said: “The face of hospice care and its role within the community is changing.
“At Woking & Sam Beare Hospices it is our common goal to deliver high-quality specialist care and support to anyone with a life-limiting illness, at the time they need it and in the place of their choice.
