BYFLEETERS are being given the chance to influence the future of their village, thanks to their Neighbourhood Forum’s new questionnaire.
Put together by a team from the Byfleet Forum and Woking Borough Council, its aim is to create a Neighbourhood Plan that reflects the wishes of residents and would be protected by law when future developments are proposed.
To find out what their priorities are, every household and local business in the village will have a copy of The Byfleet Questionnaire by the end of the month, to be returned by Saturday, September 13 or filled in online.
Councillor John Bond (below) said: “It’s important to complete the survey to get residents’ feedback – it will take only about 15 minutes.”
The five sections to fill in are to prioritise important certain aspects of Byfleet; particular concerns; social and community facilities; developments needed; and local shops and businesses. There is also plenty of space to add any personal comments.
Completed questionnaires can be returned to Blue Sky Newsagents at 103 Oyster Lane; Godfrey Chapples at 52 Petersham Avenue; Byfleet Village Hall at 54 High Road; Gammons Dry Cleaners at 101; Changes Hairdresser’s; or Sanway Stores at 2 Sanway Close.
