ELIZA and The Bear’s upbeat, indie folk music will be among the first sounds heard in 2016 at Guildford’s Boileroom.
The five-piece have pulled together the romping folk-pop of Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers, while adding layered instrumentation inspired by the likes of Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene.
They released their song Brother’s Boat digitally before their first single – Upon the North – a couple of years ago.
Since then, they’ve opened for Paramore on their UK tour, including at a sold-out Wembley Arena.
Eliza and The Bear will be at the Boileroom on Monday, January 25.
Other upcoming gigs at the Guildford venue include Grieved (January 26), Charlie Dore (January 27), Lisbon (January 28), This Is The Kit (January 29) and Ben Ottewell (Of Gomez) on Monday, February 1.
